Two Woodbury County supervisors announce reelection bids

SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV)

Two Woodbury County supervisors announce their bid for re-election.

Doug Walish and George Boykin made the announcement this morning.

Walish was first elected in 1998 and served 3 years as chairman of the board.

Boykin started on the board in 1984.

Both said establishing tighter relationships and stretching resources will be a primary focus during this tight economy.

George Boykin said,"Establishing relationships with local government bodies in the community an local private agency so we can develop a kind of service for our county, the money's all coming from the same spot."

Doug Walish said,"This year we'll have some challenges to face, but this board works well as a team. My emphasis is to be aware of those who are on a fixed income."

The county will be working with a 54 million dollar budget this year.
