A long time doctor retires from a Siouxland organization

Sioux City, IOWA (KTIV) - A long time doctor retires from a Siouxland organization.

Dr. Paul Fee practiced medicine for 50 years.

He also spent the last 15 years as the full-time medical director of the Hospice of Siouxland.

Tuesday night, a party was held in his honor at the Sioux City Country Club.

He says he will have more time to spend with his family, travel and garden. Dr. Fee says it was a privilege to serve the people of Siouxland.

"Serving with physician colleges but especially my staff at Hospice. My nurses in my office, all my office staff, all of the people that I have served with especially at Hospice, especially Palliative care and Siouxland PACE. It's just been a privilege to do that for as long as I have been blessed to do it," said Dr. Paul Fee, Hospice of Siouxland Medical Director.

Dr. Elizabeth Rodriguez will take over Dr. Fee's duties at the Hospice of Siouxland.
