Sioux City, IOWA (KTIV) - Some area students got a chance to be in the CEO seat at the 5th Annual Business Challenge held at Briar Cliff University in Sioux City.
Students from 11 area schools tri-state area schools three person teams.
The goal was for students to manufacture and make a fictional product using a web-based management simulation.
Organizers say this is a great way for students to learn how to face economic challenges in their future.
Junior Achievement Board Chair Mark Nibaur says, "I think they get the basics of business and how it applies and the model of the program they use is challenging. So it gives them a variety of tasks and challenges."
The winners of the competition received scholarships for college.
