SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) -- A long time leader in the non-profit community is retiring.
Jan Klimiades is retiring from the Center For Siouxland and Friday, a party was held in her honor. Jan has been the President and CEO at Center For Siouxland for the past seven years. Before that, she work for the American Cancer Society, and Girls Incorporated. She says she'll miss the people she has worked with at the Center.
"I feel good about my retirement I think I have done what I came here to do and what I was asked to do and that's always kind of been a signal for me. When I've accomplishment those goals then it's time to move on. This time it's time for me to move onto retirement instead of another job. So it feels good and I am very excited and I'm looking forward to it," said Klimiades.
Jan is excited to have more time to spend with her family, especially her two grandchildren and travel with her husband.
Brian Mathers will take over as President and CEO at the Center For Siouxland.
