SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) -- For the past sixteen years, David Jamison has served as treasurer for Story County, Iowa. Now, he wants to take that position statewide.
Tuesday afternoon, the Republican made a stop in Sioux City to meet with local voters. Jamison touted his support for stronger oversight and accountability, along with transparency. Jamison says the treasurer should be a position that better represents everyday Iowans, not beauraucracies.
"I think Iowans are crying out for change. I think we need leadership that understands the power rests with the people," Jamison said.
Jamison also made stops Tuesday in Le Mars, Orange City, Sheldon, and Spencer.
