Sioux City, IOWA (KTIV) - Leeds Elementary wasn't the only school celebrating Seuss' birthday First graders at Holy Cross - St. Michael's School read Green Eggs and Ham.

They also made hats to celebrate the day.

Students say they still love Seuss's classic book.

"I like Green Eggs and Ham because it's funny and he doesn't like them. He gets mad and the person who is holding the plate is looking confused," said Emmanuel Rodriguez, 1st Grader.

"Green Eggs and Ham because he keeps asking him if he likes the green eggs and ham and then he tries it and he likes it," said Molly Vondrak, 1st Grader.

Students also made their own "green eggs and ham".

They used green frosting and M and M's to decorate wafers.
