A new twist on lunch for Dr. Seuss' birthday

Sioux City, IOWA (KTIV) - At Leeds Elementary school in Sioux City, cooks prepared "green eggs" and ham sandwiches for students as a play off Doctor Suess' Green Eggs and Ham book.

Kids had mixed reactions but most liked the different twist to their lunch.

"The eggs taste like regular eggs they are just colored," said Alexa, Leeds Kindergartner.

"It's good because of the taste, " said Landen, Leeds Kindergartner.

"They're cool because they are green", said Rylee, Leeds Kindergartner.

"Eggs and ham is good," said Joseph, Leeds Kindergartner.

At Holy Cross-Saint Michael School students had green eggs and ham too.

The students had the choice between plain or green eggs.

Most chose the green eggs and said they were good.
