Four Fun Facts about Zach Tecklenburg

  • I am lucky enough to share my birthday with my mom. She says I'm her favorite birthday present!
  • Despite being 6'5" and 250+ pounds, I have never played football. My height though, did lead me to basketball glory in the eighth grade. For one game, the local newspaper reported, "Zach Tecklenburg led the ‘B' team with 8 points." I actually only scored 6 points, and my career in athletics ended shortly thereafter.
  • My favorite band of all time is Fleetwood Mac. I don't know how it happened, since my parents prefer The Beatles and Elton John, but I probably listen to "Go Your Own Way" at least three times a day. I've been lucky enough to see the band and its various members in concert several times, and I'm holding out for at least one more big tour.
  • Nothing gets me more excited than food – the greasier, the better. I hate to admit that I could probably live off of fast food. But, every time I go home, my mom knows to make tater tot casserole.
