Moore pleads 'not guilty' in fatal accident

SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) -- A Sioux City man pleads not guilty in connection to a fatal, two-vehicle accident on Interstate 29.

Nineteen-year-old Trevor Moore is charged with vehicular homicide. The accident happened last May.

According to an affidavit, investigators say Moore was driving recklessly, and "showing off" for a female passenger when he lost control of his car in the northbound lanes of I-29.

Moore's car hit the median, became airborne and hit a pick-up driven by Thomas Bloyer of Castana. Bloyer died at the scene. Neither Moore, nor his passenger, were hurt.

A trial date for Moore has been set for June.
