SIOUX CENTER, Iowa (KTIV) -- A judge has ordered a Siouxland company to pay $50,000 in fines.
Last week, Sioux Pharm in Sioux Center, Iowa was found guilty of illegal dumping. Since last June, the company began receiving citations for their illegal dumping of animal bi-products in a company owned lagoon.
On Friday, a judge fined the company $114,000, but suspended $64,000 of it. He also ordered on June 19, the company must stop dumping their products in the lagoon. Along with that, the company must empty the lagoon by June 30.
