SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) -- Business and politics were on the mind of Iowa Governor Chet Culver during a stop in Sioux City.
Tuesday night, he was the guest of honor at the Woodbury County Democratic Party fundraiser.
Facing re-election this fall, Culver is in campaign mode. He met with local voters and the Democrats seeking Sioux City's five open seats in the Legislature.
The governor says he has what Sioux City needs in a state leader, and local Democratic candidates are in tune with the issues facing the city.
"We're focused on jobs. The Democratic party is doing everything we can to create jobs," Culver said.
About 100 supporters showed up at the fundraiser. Culver rounded out his day in Sioux City at a private event right afterwards.
