SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) -- Sioux City may be getting some federal money for the disposal of hazardous materials.
Today, Woodbury county voted to terminate a contract with the Department of Homeland Security.
That contract grants cities in the county federal money for hazardous disposal.
But it doesn't include Sioux City, so the county will ask for the contract to be rewritten to include Sioux City.
The process could take some time, but the county says it's worth the effort, considering the amount of hazardous materials used by everyone.
The street being discussed was 220th Street, which is east of Old Lakeport Road.
