LE MARS, Iowa (KTIV) - A memorial for soldiers killed in "Operation Enduring Freedom" was unveiled Monday in Le Mars, Iowa.
The new memorial, which honors Plymouth County soldiers, who died serving our country since September 11th, was dedicated at the Plymouth County Veterans Memorial Park.
The soldiers who were honored were Tobias Meister, Chad Groepper, Thomas Nilles and Joseph Delashmutt.
Family members present say it's nice to have somewhere to go and remember their loved one.
"Awesome, Love it. It's nice they keep doing these things. I've been to a few of these this year and I love it," said Dave Groepper, Chad Groepper's Dad.
"I think it's awesome that they are doing something for all of the people who have died in the past wars. It's a good remembrance to have and it's just nice to have it set in stone ," said Melissa Delashmutt, Joe Delashmutt's wife.
