General: "Freedom is not free"

LE MARS, Iowa (KTIV)  - In an Independence Day Program in Le Mars, Iowa, Brigadier General (Ret), Jack W. Nicholson said, "Now the Declaration of Independence which we celebrate today. It was approved 234 years ago, signed by 56 men who's lives were changed forever."

"Those 56 men having suffered like they did and lost everything, some of them. Not one of them, went back on his pledge in order to get this new nation formed," said Jack W. Nicholson, Brigadier General (Ret).

"The United States of America is the country that more people in the world would rather go to and live in than all of the rest of the countries of the world," said Jack W. Nicholson, Brigadier General (Ret).

"It's a government of the people by the people and for the people," said Jack W. Nicholson, Brigadier General (Ret).

"We all should feel responsibility to live up to what's in this Declaration of Independence that was approved 234 years ago," said Jack W. Nicholson, Brigadier General (Ret).

"Please keep in mind, that freedom is not free. God bless our armed forces, God bless you wonderful people and God Bless America!" said Jack W. Nicholson, Brigadier General (Ret).
