SLOAN, IA (KTIV)- For the first time in more than a decade casino revenues are down in Iowa.
Despite the news one tribal casino in Siouxland is moving ahead with plans to expand.
Today, the Woodbury County Board of Supervisors looked at rezoning seven-acres of land next to WinnaVegas Casino.
Currently the land isn't owned by the Winnebago tribe but they're hoping the seven acres that are needed, will be re-zoned from an Agricultural preservation to general commercial area.
The plan presented to the board shows it would be used for a hotel and additional parking.
A public hearing on this issue will be held Monday July 26th at six PM in the Woodbury County Courthouse.
Hundreds of Alumni marched alongside band director Steve Connell for his last parade in the Tulip Festival.
