Family: Climbing Hill, IA soldier faces year-long recovery
CLIMBING HILL, Iowa (KTIV) - A Siouxland solider, who was wounded in Iraq, is back in the United States and beginning his recovery at Walter Reed Medical Center.
Private First Class Kyle Lloyd of Climbing Hill, Iowa, suffered a serious leg injury when his convoy was hit in Iraq.
Kyle's father Kevin said while Kyle has remained in good spirits about his injury, his road to recovery will be a long one. Doctors estimate that it may take a full year for Kyle to regain full mobility, but the Lloyd's say family, friends, and community support is what continues to keep their son moving forward.
