SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) -- Even with a weak economy, the spirit of giving is alive and well as United Way as it begins it's 2010-2011 campaign.
Tonight, United Way of Siouxland held a event bringing in their top 50 contributing companies.
The group discussed the current status of the charity, and what to look forward to in the next year.
Officials say they're the future looks good despite some recent setbacks.
"We have lost some businesses but I think there is plenty of reason to be optimistic about the future, Siouxland has got a lot of great things going for it and we are optimistic about success," says Todd Moss United Way Campaign Co-Chair.
For the 2010 year United way hopes to add twenty new firms.
