Army Corps wants your input on Missouri River plan
SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) -- The Army Corps. of engineers wants to know what you think of the Missouri River.
The last couple of weeks the Corps has been traveling up and down the "Mighty Mo."
They're asking the public what they think on eight different issues including things like water quality and flood control.
It's all a part of a five year project called the Missouri River Authorized Purposes Study.
Officials say considering all the rain water this year, it's a real opportunity to learn and make changes.
"A lot of flood water that is in the system right now that we need to try and evacuate in order to make room for you know any potential further storms that might come into the system," says Mark Harberg, Program Manager for the MRAPS.
