SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) -- While jobs are growing in the Dunes, Sioux City is holding programs to help the currently unemployed, get re-employed.
Throughout the summer Sioux City's Iowa Workforce Development bureau is offering three hour workshops, teaching people on unemployment how to find work.
The program starts when those benefits are about to run out, and focuses on how things like; resume's, proper interview etiquette, and where to look for a job.
Officials say they have classes running all summer long and so far the program has been successful.
"To put it in their words they usually say wow, I didn't realize it was this complicated or I didn't really they were looking for this type of information," says re-employment advisor Jean Holbrook .
The meetings are mandatory for those collecting benefits, but the group says they are open to anyone who want's to use them.
