SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) -- A Sioux City man already serving time for a rape, is sentenced in another crime.
Nineteen-year-old Thomas Varvais pled guilty to leaving the scene of an accident, receiving a two-year sentence. The charges stem from a May incident where two boys on their bikes ran into Varvais' vehicle in Sioux City's Leeds neighborhood.
One of them, 8-year-old Gage Zortman, was seriously hurt, but has since recovered.
Varvais is also serving 15-years for raping a woman in Union County, South Dakota. He'll begin the 2-year-sentence after the first one is finished.
