Habitat for Humanity helping more families

SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) -- Habitat for Humanity is looking to help out some more Sioux City families.

The organization's already assisted numerous folks in Siouxland, but with today's economy and the high number of foreclosures, there's still a lot of families in need of a home.

Officials say they've already picked out the spots where they will begin several new projects.

Paul Barnes, Neighborhood Services Supervisor said, "We are moving forward with the project and at this time, we have identified five addresses with habitat that will receive NSP funds. Both for the acquisition of the property and the rehabilitation of the property."

Habitat for Humanity's always looking for volunteers to get their projects off the ground. Click here to find out how you can help.
