SCHALLER, Iowa (KTIV) -- Folks in Schaller, Iowa are being advised to boil their water before drinking or cooking with it.
The town's water supply experienced a loss of pressure due to work on the water tower and failure of the emergency well yesterday.
Due to the potential for bacteria, the Iowa DNR recommends that people in Schaller boil the water for one minute before using it, or use an alternative source of water until further notice.
Water for infants should not be boiled because of the potential for elevated nitrate levels. Instead, a different source of water should be used.
