I was born in Evansville, IN and graduated from Purdue University in Liberal Arts with a concentration in telecommunication.
Severe thunderstorms and tornadoes were something that I always loved. Ever since I was knee high, I used to perform mock weathercasts for my family in the living room.
I used to take my personalized chalkboard and draw a map of the United States and label fronts and clouds that represented severe thunderstorms.
Growing up, severe storms were very frequent and I was always fascinated with them. I had no fear of violent storms.
While attending Purdue, I was noticed by a talent agent and moved to Los Angeles. I modeled professionally, but knew weather was my passion.
I soon enrolled in the Broadcast Meteorology Program at Mississippi State University. While putting myself through school, I became a talent manager in Los Angeles as well.
I also worked for Crown City News, a local cable network in Pasadena, CA.
I am a huge college football fan and follow the Boilermakers all the way, although living in Iowa now, I know I must become a Hawkeye fan as well.
In my spare time, I love to travel, camp, swim, bike and any outdoor activities.
I also love to cook, entertain, and loves to invent new recipes.
I love to storm chase on my days off and when the right severe weather opportunity comes, I will be on the road chasing.
I love animals and volunteers at local animal shelters.
I feel very lucky to be back in the mid-west, closer to my family, and working for KTIV.
I am currently studying for his NWA Seal. I am also a full member of the AMS and NWA!
