SOUTH SIOUX CITY, Neb. (KTIV) - The Siouxland Freedom Park is getting a little help from a South Sioux City Bank.
F & M Bank, which just changed its name from Dakota County State Bank on Monday, gave the project steering committee a $2,500 check today.
The park will feature a replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial and laser light amphitheater.
The park is asking folks to help them come up with a design for the new park. Officials say the money will allow them to offer a first prize of three thousand dollars and a second prize of two thousand dollars. Siouxland Freedom Park Steering Committee Chairman says, "Which we think is going to enhance the appeal of this design competition, especially in the student community, where we look forward to getting lost of creative and innovative ideas."
The Siouxland Federal Credit Union has also pledged $2,500 to the steering committee.
