SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) - The Iowa DOT snowplows are back to work in Siouxland.
Efforts are underway to remove vehicles and clear the snow.
Interstate 29 is reopen in Iowa but remains closed from Iowa boarder to Sioux Falls, S.D.
Highway 18 between US 59 near Sanborn and US 71 near Spencer remains closed. The route is impassable.
Iowa DOT reports that other roadways are partially covered with mixed snow ice and slush.
Frigid temperatures will be felt across the state today as cold high pressure settles in behind the exiting winter storm.
If you must travel, be prepared for the dangerous wind chills colder than 20 below zero.
The Iowa DOT is receiving reports of multiple stalled vehicles on roadways.
They say if you become stranded, do not leave your vehicle. Call 911 and utilize the materials in your winter survival kit until help arrives.
