Sioux City, IOWA (KTIV) - Some 185th Air Refueling Wing members helped several organizations in Sioux City Thursday.
Around 60 members assisted in sorting and repackaging at the Siouxland Food Bank and at the Salvation Army, they helped build over 800 Christmas food and toy baskets.
Members say its important to volunteer their time and help the community out.
"It's really important to all of us. All of us that have all of our needs met. It's very important for us to go out into the community and assist other families that aren't so fortunate," said MSGT Lawrence Carda, 185th Air Refueling Wing.
The 185th members also collected donations for the Siouxland Food Bank's BackPack program totaling over $2,500.
