LIbraries offer eBooks

SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) - A Best-Buy sales manager tells us how these mobile devices for reading books and other tasks really were popular this Christmas.

"I gotta say all the nooks, kindles, e-readers, tablets to, have been extremely popular this year." said Kyle Plucker Operations Manager.

Plucker also says that he thinks sales will increase even after the holiday is over.

Having these items sell so well this year, you may not know, but most people are looking to their public libraries to for books to download.

"You go to the site you click on it, if the book is available you download it onto your computer, its there for a certain time period, two weeks or three weeks. After that time period it magically disappears." says David Mixdorf Director of South Sioux City Public Library.

Over the last four to five months the South Sioux City Library has been expanding their Library to keep up with the popularity breakout of e-books.

Anyone with a Sioux City or South Sioux City Public Library card can check out e-books through the those Library's web sites.
