Trooper Kurtz described roads as kind of a mixed bag, with pretty bad conditions up north and near Sioux City. Kurtz says surface conditions are not the best, but the thing we need to worry about is the wind and reduced visibilities.

Kurtz said there have been several accidents, and quite a few people that have slid off the road. Kurtz added that maintaining control of the vehicle is the responsibility of the driver.
