SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) -- The new Sioux City Public Museum will open in about three months. Construction crews are putting the finishing touches on the former JC Penney building at 4th and Pierce, downtown.
Once it's up and running, the museum staff will need help from the public. That's why they're calling for up to 100 more volunteers to do anything from lead tours, work special events, or process collections.
"We just think that makes us stronger, the more people we bring in to help us present our programming and our efforts," said curator of education Theresa Weaver-Basye.
If you'd like to learn more about volunteering opportunities, the museum's holding three informational meetings.
