NEW DETAILS: Name released of toddler who died in Cedar Falls

Cedar Falls Police have released the name of a two-year-old boy who died at a motel on Monday.

Officers were called to the Midway Studios, 4117 University Avenue, for a medical call at 8:14 p.m. Monday.

Police say Kaleb Ryan Reddout died and are calling his death unexplained.

Police say the boy's father was in the motel room with the unresponsive child when they arrived.

Police Chief Jeff Olsen says the death is not considered suspicious at this time.

"Ultimately it will be the autopsy that will determine the cause," Olson said.

The autopsy was performed on Thursday and results are still pending.
