With heavy rains and the potential for strong storms in the forecast, flooding is concern in Siouxland communities. That's because the ground is already saturated with April and May rains. Meteorologists said up to 3 three inches are expected to fall Tuesday night and Wednesday morning in some areas.
They said that water could run into rivers and streams, and cause flooding along banks. Storm Team 4 has been tracking the impact heavy rains could have.
"Especially low lying areas such as crops. I mean when you get heavy rainfall amounts in a short amount of time, that could do damage to crops as well," said Meteorologist Riley O'Connor.
