Levee work continues at Port Neal Energy Center

Levee work continued around the Neal Energy Center near Salix, Iowa Tuesday.

Officials said a temporary levee had been built around the south plant and work on the north plant would continue.

The levees were built several feet above flood projections and officials say if those projections change there is room to build on.

MidAmerican Energy officials say trucks hauling dozens of these "Hesco" barriers have arrived in Sioux City from eastern Iowa.
