MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - Anthony Swarzak pitched five sharp innings in a fill-in start as the Minnesota Twins beat the Cleveland Indians 3-1 yesterday. Danny Santana scored after two of his three hits for the Twins. Glen Perkins finished up in the ninth for his 24th save in 27 tries.

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - The Minnesota Twins have designated right-hander Matt Guerrier for assignment and will recall right-hander Ryan Pressly from Triple-A Rochester to take his place in the bullpen. The Twins have 10 days to trade or place Guerrier on unconditional waivers. Minnesota can release him if he clears waivers.

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - Former Minnesota Vikings punter Chris Kluwe is backing away from his threat to sue the team over alleged discrimination. Kluwe vowed last week to sue because he was unhappy with the team's resolution of his complaint against special teams coordinator Mike Priefer for alleged anti-gay slurs. Kluwe also accused the team of cutting him over his activism in favor of gay marriage in Minnesota.
