Its the news many hadn't hoped for, Releases from Gavins Point Dam, near Yankton South Dakota, will increase as early as Wednesday.
Within the last hour, the Army Corps of Engineers announced that releases will rise to 155,000 cubic feet per second.
Then, releases will rise again on Thursday to 160,000 cubic feet per second.
One week ago, today, the Corps set releases at 150,000 cubic feet per second with a plan to leave releases there until at least mid-July, and possibly into August.
