
A trip to a motorcycle moto-cross competition in Oklahoma turned tragic for a Siouxland family.
14-year-old Isabell Koob of Sioux City died after crashing during one of the races.
Details of what happened are not clear yet, but it happened late Wednesday afternoon at the Jack Blevins Motocross Park near Ponca City, Oklahoma.
Isabell was participating the 2011 Ponca City Grand National Championships.
After the accident, she was rushed by ambulance to the hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
Isabell had just finished 8th grade at West Middle School and was about to start her freshman year at West High.
School district officials have been in touch with the family and will make counselors available to students Riday at West Middle School from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.
