South Dakota workers who lost their jobs due to the flooding, may qualify for unemployment benefits under a special federal program.
Officials say Disaster Unemployment Assistance claims are being accepted in Union County.
Individuals whose employment has been affected by the floods should apply by calling the Unemployment Insurance Call Center Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:20 p.m.
Folks should specify their claim is related to the flooding as well as file by Sept. 29th.
