UNDATED (KTIV) -
Voters in the Odebolt Arthur and Battle Creek-Ida Grove school districts said no to an effort to fully consolidate Tuesday.
Here's how voting broke down.
In the BCIG district, the measure was defeated by 50 votes.
Odebolt-Arthur residents voted the measure down as well, by a total of 128 votes.
They've been sharing grades since 2009 but for the past ten years, the districts have faced declining enrollment and tight budgets.
The plan would have put the high school in Ida Grove, the middle school in Odebolt, and grade schools would be in both communities.
Even though consolidation didn't pass, the 4th through 6th grade building in Battle Creek will still close after the school year.
