SPENCER, Iowa (KTIV) -
All the fun had to end eventually, but Iowa's Clay County fair is finishing up on a high note.
Average attendance is 309-thousand people. This year's attendance was just shy of 328-thousand people, exceeding the previous record of 326-thousand.
Visitors came from 32 states plus Germany and Canada.
Volunteers say they believe the great weather at the start of the week and the grandstand entertainment drew the large crowds.
