It's not what you usually see as you walk into St. Luke's Regional Medical Center's atrium in Sioux City. Local radio DJs and a table with lots of phones filled the room.
Just under $115,000 -- that's how much last year's Caring for Kids Radio-thon at St. Luke's raised to help the Children's Miracle Network.
This time around the CMN is hoping to surpass this year's $115,000 goal, and they say every penny counts.
"We can't do it without the support of all of the community calling in. Whether it be becoming a kid club member for just $10 a month or you're donating $5 or $10 at a time. It all adds up to make a huge difference," said CMN manager Matt Romkey.
All the money raised will stay here in Siouxland to help children. The phon-a-thon goes until Thursday night at 6:00.
