Two animal activists arrested after attempting to free mink

SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) -

Two Texans were arrested Sunday night after officials say they attempted to release mink from a Sioux City farm. 21-year-old Kellie Marshall and 24-year-old Victor Vandoren of Austin, Texas were taken into custody after officials say the two cut into a fence in the area of Memorial Dr. and Talbot Rd. in Sioux City, and tried to free some of the animals. With the help of the a K-9, authorities discovered the pair dressed in black. Marshall and Vandoren were charged with 2nd Degree Criminal Mischief, Attempted Burglary and Possession of Burglary Tools.
