South Sioux City, NE authorities search for murder suspect
SOUTH SIOUX CITY, NE (KTIV) -
On October 21, 2011, South Sioux City Police and Dakota County Sheriff's officers entered a residence at 300 East 23rd street in South Sioux City to check the welfare of the resident.
South Sioux City Police had received reports that the owner of the house had not been seen for a number of days and news papers had piled up at one of the doors. Upon looking through the residence, officers examined different parts of the house and located a body.
On Saturday October 22, 2011, an autopsy revealed that the resident did not die of natural causes and an arrest warrant was issued for the arrest of John P Baker for second degree murder. This investigation is still ongoing.
