Sioux Pharm Inc. receives grant to help with renewable energy project
SIOUX CENTER, Iowa (KTIV) -
A northwest Iowa company is getting money from the U.S. Department of Agriculture for renewable energy production. Sioux Pharm, Incorporated of Sioux Center is receiving a grant of $263,000 and a loan for the same amount. The money will help pay for an "anaerobic digester" project at Sioux Pharm. The USDA grants are designed to reduce energy costs and reduce farm-based pollution. Sioux Pharm is one of 19 companies in eight states receiving assistance announced yesterday by the Ag Department.
