NORFOLK, Neb (KTIV/US92) -
Some parts of Madison County, Nebraska that are still recovering from last year's flooding on the Elkhorn River are getting some help from the state.
County commissioners have designated the State Department of Roads to be in charge of selecting engineers and environmental consultants for two roads projects prompted by the flood damage.
One of the projects includes replacing a dyke north of Meadow Grove while the other includes re-surfacing a road north of Battle Creek, Nebraska.
Both were severely damaged in the 2010 flood and both are being partially funded by federal recovery money.
So far, county officials don't have a scheduled construction start date for the recovery projects.
