NEAR ALTON, Iowa (KTIV) -
Traffic was blocked for three hours and one person was taken to the hospital after two semis collided near Alton, Iowa Thursday.
Officials say it happened around 5:30 a.m., when 54-year-old Bryan Reynolds of Sioux City was headed northbound on Highway 60 south of Alton. That's when 31-year-old Scott Hoenke of Sidney, Montana ran a yield sign, and broad sided an empty tanker pulled by Reynolds.
Reynolds was taken to Orange City Area Hospital and treated for minor injuries. Hoenke was cited for Failure to Obey a Yield Sign.
