Two men have been arrested after authorities say they shot and killed two pigs on a farm near Lawler in northeast Iowa.
KCHA in Charles City reported that deputies from the Chickasaw County sheriff's office responded to a call of two pigs being shot on Nov. 7.
On Thursday, the sheriff's office announced two New Hampton men, Jordan Ollendick and Gregory Hanson, had been arrested.
Ollendick has been charged with shooting over a highway, manner of conveyance, prohibited hunting near a building or feedlot and fifth-degree criminal mischief. Hanson is charged with operation of a motor vehicle without a valid registration, aiding and abetting manner of conveyance and aiding and abetting prohibited hunting near a building or feedlot.
Telephone messages left for both men Thursday were not immediately returned.
