Some runners from Thurston, Nebraska get a healthy start to the holiday

THURSTON, Neb. (KTIV) -

Another group of runners from Thurston, Nebraska got a healthy start to the holiday.

The town doubled its size Thursday for what's become an increasingly popular Thanksgiving tradition.

More than 250 runners, from 13 States, participated in the 3rd annual Thurston Turkey Trot 5-K and one-mile walk.

Proceeds from Thursday's event go to the Pender Boys Basketball team.
