Iowa State Trooper resigns after burglary charge


An Iowa State trooper charged with felony burglary has resigned from his job.  Former trooper Mikel Yauk submitted his resignation to the Iowa State Patrol on Thursday.

Agents with the Division of Criminal Investigation arrested Yauk in October after an investigation of an alleged sexual assault.

Yauk is charged with 1st degree burglary and is awaiting trial.
