Texas Governor Rick Perry continued a 44-stop Iowa campaign tour by expanding on his populist criticism of Wall Street and Washington.
Monday, he blasted the tarp financial rescue program as "thievery" and accused Newt Gingrich and Mitt Romney of being "insiders" who supported the effort.
Governor Rick Perry, Republican presidential candidate said, "On Wall Street some people got rich. Literally insanely rich. And they were betting against millions of homeowners, with these sub prime mortgages. The Wall Street bailout was the single greatest act of thievery in American history."
Perry told his audience that he's an outsider who has spent recent years battling Washington officials over education, regulation, and spending.
