NEAR AKRON, Iowa (KTIV) -
Officials in Plymouth County have released more details about a roll over accident that sent two people to the hospital Tuesday night.
Around 9:00 p.m. authorities say they received a 911 call that a vehicle that had rolled and its occupants were trapped. Upon further investigation, officials say a vehicle driven by Joseph Trip of Akron was southbound on K-18 when it was clipped by a passing vehicle. Tripp eventually lost control of the vehicle which rolled into the ditch.
Tripp and a passenger, Heather Rodriguez also of Akron were freed and taken to Mercy Medical Center. Tripp is in good condition and Rodgriguez is listed as fair.
Officials say charges are pending.
