Nebraska high school teacher sentenced to prison

TILDEN, Neb. (KTIV) -

A former northeast Nebraska high school science teacher will spend the next 18 months to two years in prison following his sentencing Friday.

Lee Burenheide, 29, of Tilden, Nebraska was sentenced on one charge of possession of child pornography and two counts of sexual assault.

The former Elkhorn Valley teacher was arrested in January after exchanging lewd texts and Facebook messages with a 15-year-old student.

The assault counts stem from the inappropriate touching of two students during class.
